Working and living abroad

Many young Europeans would like to work in a development  country for some months or a year. But which organisaztions are offering  internships, scholarships, volunteer services or jobs and which country would  be the most interesting?
The volunteers of bbjshare.it made a research on the internet  and found very instructive websites. Here is the overview.

Volunteer Action for Cambodia
VaCambodia is an  initiative of the non government organisation STARKAMPUCHEA. Its objectives is  to strengthen civil society and democracy. The work with 39 partner  organizations in seven provinces of Cambodia. They are always looking for  foreign volunteers in order to exchange work and cultural experience.

The Global Volunteer  Network offers volunteers service opportunities all over the world. They work  with partner organization in 21 countries, especially in development  countries.

Peace Brigades International
PBI is an  international grassroots NGO that has promoted nonviolence and protected human  rights since 1981. We send international volunteers to areas of conflict,  providing protective accompaniment to human rights defenders threatened by  political violence. We also facilitate other peace-building initiatives.

Service Civil International (SCI)
SCI is a peace organisation that co-ordinates international  voluntary projects for people of all ages, cultures, religious and economic  backgrounds. The work is based in the belief that all people are capable of  living together and co-operating with mutual respect and without recourse to  violence to solve conflict. Through international voluntary work SCI aims to  give people the chance to experience this way of living whilst contributing in a  useful manner to the community.
